Meet the Ashdown team

What our team say about working within the Ashdown Group, working together, why they chose to work for us, and why they stay.

Amy Lawrie, Account Director

Why do you like working at Ashdown Group?
"I love working at Ashdown because of the people and culture we have created. It is a people focused business and feels like a family. We are supportive of each other and love celebrating everyone's success. The environment is built on trust and we are afforded flexibility to ensure we deliver. It is still challenging ten years on and I feel like I am really listened to!"

Is your role at Ashdown what you expected it to be?
"If I'm really honest, I had absolutely no idea what to expect when I joined Ashdown; I was a fresh grad and this was one of the first roles I interviewed for! Here I am ten years later; I love getting involved in extra business-based projects to improve the company as well as doing my day job and have made friends for life - I couldn't have asked for anymore. "

Sam Moore, Assistant Accountant

What advice would you give a new Ashdowner?
"Ensure that you take the opportunity to learn from the wealth of experience that surrounds you, look to professionally develop yourself through the training made available and take pride in everything you contribute towards the company, it will always be appreciated!"

Sheryl Hannan, Account Director

Why do you like working at Ashdown Group
"The business adopts a light management style, which suits my needs. We work in full collaboration and for the greater good of the team. I am empowered to run and develop my portfolio in a style that suits my clients."

What’s the element of your role that you find toughest?
"Letting candidates know when they haven’t been successful. We build strong relationships with our candidates throughout the lifecycle of a vacancy too so this can be really tough. However, it is a great opportunity to keep developing this connection and work with them to find better suited options."

Will Cusack, Account Director

"You’re in the driving seat. You get out what you put in; success is achievable in a short space of time."
