Job Description

This is a fantastic opportunity for an Application Developer with solid commercial C/C++ server side development experience to join a well-established, international software house.

The successful individual will have the opportunity to work as part of a friendly, talented and dynamic Research and Development team. The role is a unique chance to work on projects designing and developing bespoke applications and products for our enterprise business solutions.

A good understanding of application development and design is essential as is a flexible approach and the ability to work in a fast paced environment. You will work through the full lifecycle performing research, design, coding and testing on multiple projects plus contribute to the ongoing enhancements of existing products.

Commercial experience with all of the below is required:

*C/C++ Server-side development
*Full project lifecycle experience
*Windows and either Linux or UNIX
*Experience of modern development methods and practices
*Extensive knowledge of cross-platform, multi-threaded software development
*Assist in producing test plans and bug fixing
*Technical documentation

Any experience with automated testing frameworks, J2EE and JavaScript frameworks like Hibernate / Spring / Backbone / Marionette, RDBMS integration i.e. SQL, Oracle, Web Services, HTML 5, UI design, mobile application development for iOS or Android experience would strongly support your application but are by no means essential.

To be considered for this role you have a methodical and proactive approach to work, with excellent communication skills and a good degree (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline i.e. Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Systems, Mathematics - or similar.

This is a permanent position offering a basic salary of £50,000 per annum dependent on depth of relevant skills and experience plus a substantial benefits package.
