Job Description

My client, a successful, longstanding marketing company based in Central London, have an exciting requirement in their IT function, well-suited for someone looking for a technically varied role within an SME environment.

The full remit of the role will include:

- Providing some 1st line support within a Windows environment, escalating more complex queries to the company's external IT supplier

- Maintaining the existing internal databases

- Training new staff

- Providing AV support and doing equipment checks

- Assisting the IT Manager with various projects

- Working closely with the Marketing Team

- Carrying out additional ad-hoc IT tasks, for example; stock checks, website updates, setting up new computers/users

The company believes in actively encouraging individual growth and is looking for someone proactive who can then in the longer term get involved with further responsibilities, including acting as a backup for the IT Manager, and attending events abroad, when necessary.

To be suitable for this role, you will need to have a very good understanding of Windows Desktop Operating Systems, Desktop Applications and PC Peripherals/Hardware. It would also be useful if you had also good knowledge of HTML and/or other web technologies.

This is an opportunity with an organisation situated in an excellent location, close to Waterloo and its surrounding Underground stations.

- This is a permanent position offering a basic salary of up to £24,000 per annum dependent on depth of relevant skills and experience.
