Senior Financial Accountant / Financial Controller
Leading financial services group, with a fast growing and successful spread betting / FX business unit, is seeking a qualified Financial Controller due to continued expansion and further acquisitions in the group. In this role you will join a small team involved with management, accounting, regulatory and taxation of the business.

As the Group has got bigger, the existing FD has increasing responsibilities at group level and as such this requirement for an experienced FC with an understanding of futures, options, derivatives and CFD's, has come about.

This role particularly would suit someone stepping up into the role, or perhaps from an audit background, with excellent qualifications, professional demeanour, ambition and unrivalled attention to detail.

The successful candidate will:
Undertake daily reconciliations around controlling client money. Assisting the back-office finance team and other financial stakeholders across the group to ensure bank reconciliations are completed, both timely and accurately.
Manage the purchasing process for the business - liaising with all PO requisitioners, ensuring correct coding, available budget, collaborating with others to ensure the process is run efficiently.
Undertake management reporting- ensure entries are complete and accurate and closed each month in line with group requirements, as well as completing monthly finance packs for Head of Finance to Review.
Review Accounting entries, ensuring they are coded to correct account and cost centre and books are free from material misstatement.
Ensure all regulatory reporting is correct and filed on time with relevant authorities
Produce financial statements for the business
Provide ad-hoc reporting for the Head of Finance and standing in for them where necessary.
Integrating new businesses onto the finance ledgers, ensuring they are accounted for correctly
Ensure that effective internal controls are in place and ensure compliance with local GAAP and applicable local regulatory laws and rules for financial and tax reporting, along with internal guidelines.
