Job Description

Join this market leading technology law firm, with offices in Chancery Lane as an Accounts Payable Clerk, in their high performing accounts department.
Reporting to the Financial Controller, this role focuses on the administration of accounts payable, disbursement management and petty cash management.

Daily responsibilities consist of:
Receiving purchase invoices and cheque requests and processing invoices and cheque requests ensuring that the authorisation process is followed in accordance with specific deadlines
Inputting all Supplier and Associate invoices to the Accounting system (Access) ensuring that account codes, case numbers, discounts, and payment terms are correct
Processing bank and BACS payments to suppliers and send remittance advices
Inputting all bank payments entries to Access
Reconciling supplier accounts in Access
Maintaining the FA register and account for FA depreciation monthly
Maintaining the accounts payable files and other financial records
Responding to questions and makes calls regarding supplier invoicing problems; acts as a liaison between departments and suppliers where appropriate.
Checking bank accounts to assure funds are available for purchases
Reconciliation of UK Bank accounts on monthly basis
Managing the Petty

Experience working in an Accounts Clerk role, experience of using Access and demonstrating all round good IT skills is required to successfully secure this role.

Experience within professional services and particularly a law firm, is preferred and any experience using Inprotech software extremely advantageous.

Salary is £25,000 - £30,0000, depending on the skills ,experience and credentials you bring to the role. There is an additional 5% bonus and great benefits including season ticket loan, private healthcare, death in service, childcare vouchers, cycle to work etc.
