2nd Line Service Desk Analyst - Hemel Hempstead

A highly service oriented Technology Service Provider based in Hemel Hempstead has engaged the Ashdown Group to assist them in their search for a Second Line Support Analyst. The role will focus on provision of user support to the company's broad client base and will require the highest calibre of customer service and technical skills.
The successful candidate will be entirely at home within a Windows Desktop environment and should be comfortable with common server administration tasks. A strong knowledge of Active Directory is expected and you will need to be adept at diagnosing and resolving user administration issues and managing problems with the MS Office suite. Experience with Office 365 would be highly preferred.
Experience of identifying and resolving network connectivity issues is also required and you will need to be able to investigate issues and either resolve them or escalate them dependent on time constraints. This is not a role where you will be pigeonholed into one specific set of tasks and responsibilities, however. You will be expected to develop your technical skills under constant review and actively encouraged to attend external courses and pass recognised industry qualifications. A genuine enthusiasm around technology and an inquisitive nature is essential for anyone joining this business. At the very least, you are expected to be passing basic Microsoft certifications within your first 12 months.
Candidates who already have one or two Microsoft accreditations are encouraged to apply, as are candidates who have successfully passed the CompTIA A+ or Network+ exams. Candidates who exhibit a strong customer service orientation will enjoy significant advantages in this environment.
