Job Description

Do you have a degree or HNC in Electronic or Electrical Engineering? Are you keen to build a career as a customer facing Technical Engineer working for a global electronics brand? If so, we would like to hear from you!

Working for the print and graphics division of this business, you will work a Field role covering the UK doing installs, training users, servicing and maintaining a range of equipment and software supplied by the business to a range of customers, both in a hands on and also helpdesk capacity. It is focused more on the support of the Applications rather than the equipment itself.

Although you work remotely/field based, you will work alongside other members of the service team in resolving customer service related problems and escalate to the Service Managers any serious or unresolved issues that may adversely affect the customer relationship.

To take on this role you must be prepared to undertake any training deemed appropriate for the customer, both before and after installations, to ensure they are capable of operating equipment to suitable levels. You should ideally have some experience gained in a field based role too.

The successful candidate will have:

- Degree or equivalent qualification in IT, Graphic Design or Electronic Engineering
- Must have strong IT knowledge and networking skills, with experience of working with such applications as Adobe or Photoshop.
- It would be desirable if the candidate has colour management experience; press experience or experience of using print software, even as a user - but this is not essential to secure the role.
- Excellent interpersonal skills - experienced in building strong working relationships with customers and colleagues.
- Ability to work unsupervised and manage your time effectively.
- Ability to quickly pick up technical product knowledge
- Full UK Driving Licence

This is a trainee role for which you will receive extensive training across the brands offerings and a commitment to your continuous development through on-going training provision. In addition, there is a generous benefits package including Christmas Bonus, Pension (6% Employer Contribution, 3% Employee Contribution), Private Medical Cover, Life Assurance, 25 days holiday (+ Bank holidays). Starting salary is up to £30,000.
