An international market leading technology and telecoms business, serving retail giants worldwide, is seeking additional Junior Systems Engineers to join their Solutions Team in delivering and supporting complex business system solutions, such as improving asset visibility and productivity in enterprise environments and inventory and supply chain solutions, using leading mobile computing technology, mobile device management, PSS and RFID's.
Reporting on a day to day basis to a Senior Integration Engineer, you will, in the main instance, spend a large part of your week on client sites supporting the go live process of implementations, troubleshooting problems, configuring devices, providing user support and training and helping with installs and builds.
The solutions delivered are sometimes stand alone and sometimes integrated with third party offerings. The services offered include installation, customization and commissioning for e.g. Mobile Computing Rollouts, MDM, Enterprise Software rollouts, RFID, and other Services.
To secure this role, you should have good experience of IT Support and network and specifically WLAN technology and be passionate and driven about learning new technologies, being involved in building effective solutions for global clients and be keen to progress your career in a global technology business.
This Systems Engineer role will allow you to develop the know how to plan and perform major systems integrations and test system hardware and software interoperability as well as gaining the experience in using proven tools and design methodologies to analyse, document, and specify complex network (WAN, LAN, WLAN) solutions, working within a high performing Solutions Architect Team.
You will ideally have demonstrable experience in a client facing or field support role and good WLAN understanding. Experience working with mobile solutions, MDM, networking (WLAN) or RFID technology, would be particularly desirable, but it is not essential. Any experience with SOTI, Wavelink or Airwatch would also be considered particularly advantageous.
With this role you will be travelling to client sites across the UK and you must be flexible with your approach to working hours. A typical month may see you on client sites for 2-3 weeks. When you are not at client sites or meetings, you can work remotely and will be required to attend monthly team meetings in the Buckinghamshire/Berkshire area at HQ.
The starting salary with this role is £30,000 - £38,000, depending on skills and experience plus 5% bonus and a leased car, with additional generous benefits package and clear progression path.
