Job Description

An international tech law firm, enjoying a market leading position and at the forefront of technology is looking for a SQL Developer to join their high performing Software Development team.

Working alongside two other Developers and reporting to the Head of IT, the development team manage the firms databases, create and maintain user interfaces and take responsibility for reporting services. You will retain ownership of your own projects and will, for this role, work closely with the Finance Department on a series of projects.

One of your main focuses with the Finance Department will be the development of tools that will help facilitate the integration of practice management databases with the accounting databases. Also to produce accurate and timely reports, both ad-hoc and automated, in line with business needs.

Across the wider business you will help provide business intelligence and work with managerial teams to understand both their and their clients requirements and then translate these into reports.

To secure this role, successful candidates should have excellent:
- SQL Server 2008 and 2012 experience
- T/SQL scripting
- Stored procedure, functions and views experience
- SSIS, SSRS (SSAS would be advantageous, but not essential)
- Experience with Excel - data manipulation and how it integrates with SQL
- Experience with finance software packages
- Experience using MVC or other structured development patterns

Experience with any of the following would be advantageous, but by no means essential: Visual Studio, TFS, Visual Basic, VBA XML, PowerShell, C#, Java.
