Job Description

Ashdown Group have been engaged by a market leading business to help them recruit a Senior Solutions architect with knowledge of payment platforms.

Working closely with the Project Management Team, with a post sales, delivery focus, you will work on large complex pieces of work, with lots of different types of architecture. The Solution Architects are responsible for delivery of all integrated solutions - including analysing client's business needs, and recommends appropriate information technology solutions utilizing company methodologies.

Supporting the business development team, you will go to the clients and take responsibility for taking solutions and generating requirements documents which illustrate and set out what is actually required and how it will be installed

The successful candidate needs to have technical expertise in one or several business or industry specializations which may include:
* Financial or Merchant Retail Payment Models
* Global Payment Networks
* Business Process Re-engineering
* Client Server Application Development
* Application Outsourcing
* Technology Migration
* Data Mining/Data Warehousing/Analytics
* Electronic Banking or Electronic B2B Commerce
* Customer Relationship Management

You must be able to understand complex solutions and the delivery of solutions and at some point will have been a software developer/engineer in order to understand change control and other development methodologies. You should also demonstrate some knowledge of Payment platforms, Data warehousing, B2B banking, iOS, Programming languages, Linux, Base 24, Postilion SW environments as well as knowledge of CRM.

Excellent communication and presentation skills are required to effectively convey customer requirements and to lead and facilitate technical workshops to various stakeholders.

This role is a mixture of Watford based and client site visits, which spread across the UK and may go into Europe. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing global organisation who invest heavily in their staff.

The starting salary for this role is up to £60,000, dependent on skills and experience, plus a £4.5k car allowance and additional benefits including share options.
