Product and Solutions Consultant - Birmingham (and home based) - up to £60,000 plus bonus and benefits (beaconing technology / real time locating technologies / asset visibility / mobile devices / tracing / tracking technology)
This is rare opportunity to join a specialist arm of a global technology business, working with cutting edge technologies, focused on real time locating technologies.
Working as part of lean on site team, you will report to a manager in the US, whilst also collaborating with cross functional, multi-disciplinary, geographically dispersed and matrixed teams including Marketing & Sales, HW / SW Engineering, Customer Support, Supply Chain, Manufacturing (ODM / JDM models) and IT, as well as end-customers, to define project scope, priorities and timelines.
Essentially, you will be working day to day with the client on installation and integration projects, troubleshooting, creating new ways to use the tech we deploy there, identifying and building (alongside tech teams) new solutions.
In this role, although initially there will be a strong focus on working with one particular client, as one of the fastest growing areas of this market leading technology business, there is an expectation that your role will grow and diversify and likely begin to grow a team to support you. Day to day you will be based either on client site, or working from home and you should be flexible with your approach to this. As such, our preference is for someone to live in the Birmingham or surrounding areas.
This role is fast paced and varied. Although part of a global business, change and growth can happen with the speed of a start up, so someone happy working in a fast paced environment and with management or coordination experience, including direction of projects and engineers in high and low volume production environments would be the preference.
Your responsibilities will include:
You will be involved with managing multi million pound development projects
Develop product roadmap/portfolio and account development / management strategies including management of the complete product lifecycle for software components to drive this pat
Working with external customers to capture complex system requirements and create robust technical specifications / statements of work.
Documenting, testing and training of new product releases to a wide range of audiences.
Support Business Development and Sales with pre-sales opportunities and build customer relationships to enable successful pilots and post sales experiences
Understanding, implementing and improving product development using Agile/Scrum methodology.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a market leading business in their fastest growing area of technology, working with enterprise clients across a range of verticals. Salary starts at £45,000 and goes up to £60,000, depending on skills and experience, plus bonus and benefits.
