Job Description

Digital Marketing Executive / Marketing Executive / Stand-Alone Marketing Executive - Watford - £30,000 + benefits. The Ashdown Group have been engaged by an award winning IT and solutions business to assist them in their search for an eloquent marketing professional with excellent copywriting skills and experience managing email marketing campaigns, content and social media.

Reporting to the Sales Director, you will work a standalone marketing role with the assistance of an external marketing and design agency. Due to growth and company success, the business are now looking to grow the internal marketing function and as such this role offers the right incumbent the potential to really put their stamp on the role and develop the internal marketing function.

The main focus of the role will be to drive communication and engagement with both existing and new target audiences through various digital marketing channels including; content management, email marketing and social media. There will also, on occasion, be a requirement for you to attend events and help with the organising of these, as well as reporting on effectiveness and ROI of marketing activities undertaken.

To be suitable for this Digital Marketing Executive role you should:

Be able to design and execute key marketing campaigns.
Proven experience creating engaging content.
Demonstrate excellent copywriting and proofreading skills.
Have proven email marketing and social media experience.
Be able to monitor campaign activity using the company's CRM system.
Be confident analysing campaign results to make recommendations.
If you have any experience with SEO, paid search that would be particularly advantageous. Also any experience with InDesign to help create templates would also be beneficial.

This role would suit a commercially astute person, who is keen to take the next steps in their career with an award winning business. Excellent communication, both written and verbal, will be essential as you will liaise with senior management, stakeholders and external agencies on a regular basis. Ideally you might have worked within a technology business, or at least have a curiosity in technology and how it connects and drives modern businesses.

The starting salary is £27,000 - £30,000 depending on the skills and experience you bring to the role, plus  benefits.
