Job Description

A growing consultancy which facilitates government funded urban planning projects is seeking an IT Support Technician to be responsible for maintaining their IT Service Desk system, triage and response to user enquiries in a timely manner, whilst ensuring downtime/outages are minimised through a high level of responsiveness.

This is a 6 month fixed term contract. It offers 25 days holiday (pro rata).

Other responsibilities include:

* Setting-up new users, including user accounts and configurations;
* Effective systems management
* Managing the IT assets including computer stock, phones, server
* Ensuring compliance with all necessary legislation
* Raising purchase orders and associated documentation work.

To be suitable for this role you will be/have:

* Previous experience working in an IT support role, providing user support, license management and systems maintenance in a similar environment
* Prior experience working with IT Service Desk, including the capability to prioritize work and requests, and manage the expectations of users
* Mixed estate (Windows and Mac) device management
* Telecommunication support including mobile phones, office telephone systems and teleconferencing
* Previous experience managing user support on a range of software applications for business including: SalesForce, Sharepoint, Slack, SAP etc. would be preferable; and
* Previous experience documenting user manuals and providing training for users would be beneficial.

Technical Skills:

* Administration and configuration of Windows Server 2016
* Experience of providing desktop support to end users (Windows, Mac)
* Advance experience of Office 365 and Exchange online
* Advance experience of Windows Active Directories; TCP/IP networks, DHCP, DNS and VLANS
* Familiar with video conferencing tools such as GoTOMeeting, and Skype for Business
* Familiar with MDM solutions (Manage Engine Desktop Central)
* Advance experience of Anti-virus and malware protection software
* Familiar with printer services such as Equitrac
