Job Description

Our client, a successful, longstanding marketing company based in Central London, have a requirement for a proactive IT Manager.

Reporting into senior management, this is a key position within a reputable SME organisation where you would be responsible for managing one junior IT Technician, ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the company's IT function and managing supplier relationships.

This is an exciting and unique role which would be well-suited to a dynamic individual who would relish the opportunity to get involved in multiple projects and technical responsibilities and liaise with other internal stakeholders to develop and implement clear IT strategy for the business as a whole.

You will work closely with the marketing team and be involved in managing the website and working with data, so any knowledge of things like Google Analytics, HTML, CSS, Excel, SQL Server, MS Access, database and CMS/CRM systems would be very beneficial.

On the systems maintenance side, some of this is outsourced but my client is keen that the successful candidate has good knowledge of all or most of the following:

- Windows server platforms in an SME environment
- Office 365
- Implementing desktop/systems upgrades
- Core internet technologies (DHCP, DNS, TCP/IP)
- Mobile technologies, VOIP/SIP
- Desktop & server support, MS Office/Exchange
- PC hardware
- Desktop Applications

Previous experience of working with an SME is preferred and a good, relevant degree in an IT discipline would strengthen your application, but is not essential.

The company is situated within easy distance of Waterloo and the surrounding Underground stations.

This is an excellent opportunity for an adaptable individual with a positive, can-do attitude. Persons looking to further their career by taking on additional responsibilities in a largely autonomous role could also be considered.
