Rare opportunity for a confident Training and L&D Specialist, from professional services or corporate industries, to join the HR team of an award winning, growing, tech law firm, in a new specialist Training and Development role. The role would see you work closely with the Head of HR to help devise and implement the learning & development strategy for the business, having the opportunity to really develop the offering and put your stamp on the role.
One of your first major projects focuses around the company's new Learning Management System and you will be instrumental in building this out for the business, creating new training content from scratch, as well as ensuring any existing training material is up to date and relevant.
You will chair HR Groups related to training and development
Design & implement a revised approach to appraisals, probationary periods and induction training.
Work collaboratively with the ER Specialist on any probationary or appraisal issues and with the Head of HR on the salary review process.
Develop the businesses soft skills training offerings, as well as coaching and training managers
Engaging with external training providers where necessary and coordinating the delivery of these internally
Delivering HR induction training
Evaluating learning & development activities, ensuring all adheres to employment law requirements, best practise and are aligned with business aims and objectives.
As part of a relatively small HR team supporting around 150 and growing employee base, you will be expected to provide some generalist HR support too and on occasion, assist with payroll, although 80% of this role is very much focused on training and development for the business.
Long term there will be the opportunity to build a training team under you as the firm continues to grow.
To secure this role, you will have come from a Learning & Development or Training background, working within an HR department and with good knowledge of employment law. It is also essential that you have experience gained within professional services or corporate sectors.
