The Ashdown Group have been asked by a thriving engineering business to assist them in finding a dynamic, CIPD qualified, HR Manager. The remit of the role is firstly to centralise and then maintain the HR functions within the company.

This is a newly-created role within the senior leadership team that will require an individual with substantial experience in all aspects of HR. It is in essence a standalone position with support for some of the administrative duties.

The successful candidate will need to be well versed in:

- Developing and implementing HR strategy and initiatives to support business plans

- Ensuring all HR policies and procedures are up to date with the latest legislation and changes have been effectively communicated to the company

- Managing and driving recruitment and recruitment procedures

- Managing further development of the performance management/appraisal system

- Managing all aspects of Employee Relations including: starters and leavers, absence and sickness, grievances, investigations and disciplinaries

- Training and development of internal Managers

Whilst it would be of benefit if the successful candidate had previously worked within an engineering, construction, logistics, production or manufacturing environment, this is not essential.

This is a permanent position offering up to £50,000 per annum plus car allowance and bonus opportunity.
