Job Description

An ambitious Hemel Hempstead-based MSP are looking to recruit an experienced Head of Service Delivery to take responsibility for setting the vision and strategy of the unit. This will include developing the business plan, managing budgets and resourcing and also acting as a point of escalation for various business stakeholders.

This is a pivotal, newly created role within the business and you will need to have a technical background and solid, proven experience of leading operations in a high-pressure environment.

You will be responsible for the successful delivery of the company's support services which includes the Service Desk team, the Applications Support team and the Infrastructure Support team.

The remit of the role will include but is not limited to:

- Participating in board level meetings and contributing to the company's strategic and tactical planning
- Managing budgets with an end goal of achieving profitability targets
- Leading on major incidents and problem management
- Developing and maintaining Business Continuity plans
- Working within ITIL framework (previous experience of ISO2000 and ISO27001 would be useful)
- Relationship building with key clients and communicating with stakeholders as required
- Devising coaching, mentoring and training
- Providing weekly management reports

The successful candidate will be very much involved in developing meaningful KPIs and driving performance within this division ensuring all policies, standards and processes are adhered to.

Candidates should hold one or more of the following qualifications:

- ITIL Practitioner
- Prince2 Practitioner
- CMI or ILM management

This is a permanent position offering a basic salary of up to £75,000 per annum, dependent on skills and experience.
