Job Description

Operating as the brand champion and owner, this critical position combines internal and external brand protection with evolutionary drive to match the design, tone and voice of the brands with their key audiences. A more significant rebranding of some verticals is under consideration. The right candidate for this Head of Design & Brand career opportunity, will come from a hands on design background and will have grown into a strategic and brand orientated senior level position.

Working across international European markets, as part of the centralised marketing function the Head of Brand and Design, will consult, liaise and guide the local marketing team on each brand identity to ensure a consistent and positive experience persists.

With an annual marketing spend approaching £100 million, a vast number of projects and inputs are occurring across the marketing calendar. Collaborating with internal resource and external agencies from campaign concept to delivery and review, this role requires a very particular personality and work ethic - communication skills are key.

You must be able to demonstrate a passion for design. You must be capable of solving problems rather than pointing out inconsistences. Enthusing those you interact with about the brands is critical to the positions success. You must have owned and run a brand across all touch points. Decisions are made quickly and the leeway to take creative risk is afforded to those with a marketing vision.

Ideal applicants will have been working for large ecommerce consumer brands, who advertise across TV, radio, offline and online. In addition they will probably be known in their industry or the design community and will perhaps have a notable personal presence, or have had some media coverage for their work. You will need to provide your portfolio of relevant design work.
