Job Description

The Ashdown Group has been engaged by a growing technical solutions provider to assist in their search for a GDPR Consultant with strong Data protection and Information security background.

There will be a duel aspect to this role focusing on both internal company GDPR readiness and compliance as well as being responsible for all information security related risk management, activities, policies, compliance controls and operations. Additionally the role involves working with external clients, providing consultative services to the company's growing client base and advising them on GDPR best practice to safeguard their compliance.

To be suitable for this position you must have experience of:

- Setting and maintaining the Privacy & Data Protection Standards.
- Providing policy advice and guidance to all areas of the business in relation to the Data Protection Act; Privacy & Electronic Communication Regulations; e-Privacy Directive; international data protection guidance and associated matters.
- Creating and maintaining a register of data owners for sets of information and educate the data owners on their data protection responsibilities.
- A good working knowledge of Information Security principles and practice
- A good working knowledge of information risk analysis and risk management
- Providing consultancy services

Ideally you will possess one or more data protection qualifications e.g. CDP, CIPM or Certified EU GDPR practitioner.

On occasion you will need to articulate security advice directly to CIO or Director level stakeholders. It is expected that you will have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, excellent presentation skills with the ability to present complex ideas to technical and non-technical audiences.

This role will involve travel to client sites and as such you must be able to drive and possess a FULL BRITISH DRIVING LICENCE.
