Job Description

The Ashdown Group has been engaged to assist a well-established charity in their search for a Desktop Support Analyst with experience in a Windows based environment, being the first port of call for all IT related issues. Please be aware that under schedule 9 (part 1) of the Equality Act we are only able to consider female applications for this role.

Working within the IT team of this well-known charity the successful candidate will provide a helpdesk service for end users across the entire charity. You will be expected to provide 1st line support, log calls and escalate issues to senior members of the IT team where necessary. In addition to this, you will also be expected to troubleshoot and upgrade PC Hardware, configure email accounts on a BES server, as well as patching phones and data connections. In order to be suitable for this role, it is ESSENTIAL that you have commercial experience of providing technical support within a Windows environment. Exposure to Windows Server 2008, Exchange server 2010 and Outlook 2010 would be highly advantageous to your application, but is not essential.
