Job Description

The Ashdown Group has been engaged by a global supplier of specialist networking products to assist them in their search for a new Marketing Manager. The role will have a strong lead generation / sales generation focus and although broad in scope, will be predominantly online based.

The successful candidate will have substantial prior experience in the technology sector, ideally working with networking or telecommunications products. Considerable B2B experience is also required and you will be comfortable talking expansively about your lead generation activity. Ideally, you will have had experience of supplying prospects to dedicated telesales teams in the past and you will be accustomed to designing and delivering lead generation campaigns.

As Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for setting and executing marketing strategy for the company aimed at developing new opportunities and maximising return from current and new customers. Experience of running marketing campaigns internationally would be preferred as the business is active across most of northern and western Europe and in the Middle East as well as in the UK. You will also need to be a hands on marketer, unafraid of rolling up your sleeves and engaging in the day to day delivery of marketing campaigns, marketing collateral, analytics, market research, content creation, etc. You will be managing a marketing junior and will have recourse to both a web agency and content agency as required, but all output from the marketing department will be directly in your hands.

It is expected that you will have extensive knowledge of online marketing and how to best leverage an e-commerce website to return solid sales. SEO and SMM should be second nature to you and you will have experience of running targeted email marketing campaigns, as well as occasionally reverting to offline marketing activity to underpin the brand or specific campaigns.
