A major media and broadcast entertainment business based in west London has engaged the Ashdown Group to assist them in their search for a Systems Administrator and Infrastructure Engineer to maintain their core business environment. The role will focus on support, maintenance and management of the predominantly Microsoft environment and will make broad technical demands on the incumbent.
The successful candidate will have prior experience in a Systems Administration or Infrastructure Engineer role already, within a corporate environment. You will have excellent Windows Server skills including experience with Windows 2008, Windows 2012 and Windows 2016 and you will have highly developed Active Directory skills. It is also expected that you will be a capable Exchange Server Administrator and you must have some experience of supporting enterprise scale storage solutions (preferably EMC).
Tweaking processes using automated scripts will be a feature of the role, so knowledge of PowerShell or experience with other scripting languages is essential. You will also be accustomed to managing and monitoring system health using SCCM / SCOM and should have solid general network troubleshooting skills. Experience with virtual server environments is also expected. Hyper-V is commonly used throughout the business, but experience with VMWare will be as valuable.
