Job Description

A prestigious and long established organisation is looking for an experienced and articulate Senior Systems Engineer / Windows Systems Administrator with some Citrix knowledge to join their small IT team based in the West End, London. This will initially be a fixed term contract for 12 months.

Reporting into the IT Manager, the Senior Systems Engineer / Windows Systems Administrator will be the senior technical person in the team and so responsible for most aspects for the organisation's infrastructure for approximately 100 users. Duties will also include a considerable amount of VIP support and assisting the IT Manager with a number of projects including cloud migration, virtual desktops and a new document management solution.

In order to be suitable for this position you must have proven experience working in a Senior Systems Engineer, Senior IT Support Engineer, Windows Systems Administrator, standalone IT Manager or similar role covering server, network and application support/administration. It is essential to have broad technical skills including Citrix (some knowledge/ exposure), Windows 2008 - 2016 Server, Active Directory, Exchange 2010, general networking, switches (ideally Cisco) and Firewalls (ideally ASA). The ideal candidate will also have a Citrix qualification and experience of Citrix Desktop, Private Cloud migration projects, SQL and SQL Server, although these are not essential.

This is an excellent opportunity to take on a key role and would suit personable, highly articulate candidates with the ability to work with a variety of stakeholders. This Senior Systems Engineer / Windows Administrator role is paying £45,000 - £55,000 depending on experience plus benefits including pension, BUPA and 23 days holiday.
