A government organisation is looking for a proven Project Support Officer / Co-ordinator to be based in the Hereford area, West Midlands. This will be a contract role for initially 32 weeks, paying up to £252 per day and starting no later than Monday 19th November, however looking for applications to be processed immediately.

The successful candidate will be overseeing the integration of a bespoke network based on Evergreen and Agile principles. Duties will include providing project support in line with Prince 2, undertaking schedule and risk management, assisting Project Managers with project plans, delivering Secretariat function at all project meetings, ensuring the agreed project management methods, standards and processes are maintained throughout the project lifecycle as well as developing and implementing appropriate configuration management procedures for project documentation.

In order to be suitable for this role you must proven experience in a Project Support Officer / Co-ordinator role as well as the following essential criteria:
*MOD DV required on day 1 of the appointment due to the sensitivity of the role.
*A high degree of computer literacy including advanced knowledge of the MS Office Suite, including Microsoft Project, VISIO and Risk Management Tools such as Predict or @Risk.
*Project planning ability using a recognised Project Methodology such as PRINCE2.
*Experience of working on IT/IS projects / programmes.
*Ability to analyse, consolidate and present information from various sources.
*Effective communication skills including verbal, written and presentation skills.
*Strong multi-tasking and organizational skills.
*Working Knowledge of ITIL V.3 and how it is applied.
*Demonstrable understanding of Earned Value Management.
*Demonstrable experience of effectively and accurately communicating relevant project information to all identified stakeholders.

Any project experience in an Agile environment or relevant Risk Management (MoR) / Project Management (MSP, PRINCE 2, APM) qualification would be beneficial, but not essential.
