Job Description

A highly successful MSP based in the Hemel Hempstead area are currently seeking a Project Delivery Engineer to join their established technical consulting team.

The role will focus on deploying solutions for an existing portfolio of clients as well as assisting with go-live support, where necessary.

You will be based in the company's office in Hemel Hempstead but will have occasional work to complete at client site when there is need. This is not expected to be extensive but could vary from month to month.

One of the benefits of this opportunities is that you will work with a diverse range of technologies, including: workstations, servers, printers, network infrastructure, telephony and vendor specific hardware and software.

As well as project deployment and installation tasks, utilising PRINCE2 / ITIL framework, you will also be responsible for:

- Providing hand-over to clients
- Supporting the Service Desk with go-live problem diagnosis and fault resolution
- Resolving incidents and service requests within SLA requirements
- Communicating and setting client expectations
- Maintaining specific client knowledge and awareness of future emerging technologies
- Keeping skills and certifications up to a high standard through self-study and also company provided training and external courses

My client is looking for individuals with a comprehensive knowledge of the Windows server estate who are experts in the design and delivery of Windows based infrastructures. You will need a very developed understanding of networking and network topologies and should be highly adept with virtual technologies. It is anticipated that you will already have a number of Microsoft qualifications to your name and most likely will have Cisco and VMWare or similar qualifications as well.

Required key skills include experience with most or all of the following; Windows 7/10, Windows Server 2008/2012, Office 2010/2013/2016, Active Directory, Group Policy, File and Print, WDS and MDT, Server Virtualisation, Patching and Structured cabling, Computer Networking, Cyber Security best practices, Firewalls, Telephony, Exchange Administration, Remote Desktop Services, SQL Server, Scripting, Prince2 project methodology and ITIL framework.

These are permanent positions offering a basic salary of between £30-40,000 per annum, dependent on skills and experience.
