A growing medium-sized business is looking for a proactive IT Support Engineer to join its small IT team based in the Leatherhead area, Surrey. The successful candidate will be primarily tasked with providing 1st and 2nd line hardware and software support for approximately 70 users across multiple sites. There is also the opportunity to support industry specific solutions, 3D printers, CAD systems as well as working on R&D projects. The IT Manager is looking to train the IT Support Engineer with the goal of ultimately allocating 3rd line support duties too.

In order to be suitable for this role you must have experience working in a Helpdesk Analyst, Service Desk Analyst, Desktop Support Technician, IT Support Engineer or similar role with proven 1st line support skills, ideally covering multiple sites. It is essential to have good support knowledge of Windows 7 / 10, MS Office 2010 and networking as well as basic Windows 2003 / 2008 Server, AD and Exchange 2010 admin skills. The ideal candidate will also have some VMware exposure as well as possess a full UK Driving Licence with access to a vehicle in order to transport hardware to other sites when needed, however they will consider candidates in the process of learning to drive.

This is a varied hands-on position with plenty of scope to develop new skills within a growing business. This role is paying up to £28,000 depending on experience plus benefits including training (up to 3rd line), 25 days annual leave, free parking, pension, Cycle to Work scheme and private healthcare.
