Job Description

A leading international financial investment group, based in the City is seeking a driven individual with excellent communication skills, proven IT support skills and a passion to learn new technologies, to do their 2nd/3rd line support, with the opportunity to also be involved with various project work.

Working closely with the wider IT department, including infrastructure, development and external suppliers to troubleshoot software and hardware issues, you will monitor the Groups systems, such as:
*The email gateway
*Virtual Server Monitoring Software
*Anti-virus software
*Daily back up logs
*The groups use of mobile devices

The successful candidate will have strong 2nd line support skills, with some experience of 3rd line support too and be confident supporting a Windows environment with Active Directory and Group Policy. They should also have some awareness of IP, routers, switches etc. and be confident tackling issues with Windows 7 and Windows Server 2012.

Experience in a VMware environment would be particularly advantageous, but not essential.

Due to the nature of the business, the ideal candidate may come from a financial / investment / stock exchange background or wider professional services, but this is not essential to securing the role - having strong communication, IT support skills, a passion for technology and an understanding of good customer service skills is.
