Job Description

The Ashdown Group have been engaged by a well-established firm of architects who are looking to recruit a driven IT professional to join their IT team supporting users across their multiple sites.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a friendly but professional organisation based in Soho, central London. You will be reporting to the IT Manager providing general IT, application and network support - both remotely and onsite.

You will be required to act as the first port of call for users with IT issues and you will be expected to deliver timely and effective responses. Where possible you will solve issues via the phone or remote support, however the role will be varied so you will also have the opportunity to participate in projects, upgrades and migrations.

Your technical skills should include support of Windows 7/10, Office and ideally Office 365. They run a Windows Server 2012 environment. You need to be well versed with Active Directory and Exchange, and be happy to perform fundamental tasks such as password resets or setting up a new users. In addition you will need to be familiar with PC peripherals, hardware and printers, and have knowledge of network troubleshooting.

As this is a firm of architects it would be beneficial if you had exposure to specific programmes such as AutoCAD and the Adobe suite, but some training can be provided on this.

If you are an experienced IT professional the company offers a salary up to £40,000, though we imagine the right candidate will be closer to £35,000. They also welcome applications from slightly more 1st and 2nd line focused support analysts looking for the next step in their career, in which case you can expect a salary closer to £33,000.
