Job Description

A highly prestigious art organisation, with approximately 140 users, is looking to add an individual with excellent communication and IT support skills to provide 1st/2nd line support across the business, with the opportunity to train up across some server and infrastructure support.

Reporting to the Head of IT you will play a pivotal part in the team,
acting as the main support for the IT Manager whilst maintaining the Microsoft Server and Desktop operating systems within a Microsoft Exchange environment.

This is a fantastic opportunity which will allow the successful candidate exposure to a range of technology and will require a high level of customer service as you support the users, adopting a very hands on manner. It is therefore you must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to use your own initiative and work independently.

Your day to day duties are varied and will include:

-Setting up and troubleshooting software and hardware.
-Providing support for MAC PC's
-Conducting administration of Windows Servers and Active Directory.
-Creating virtual machines
-Basic network support
-Desktop support
-Maintaining the audio visual for the organisation.
-Supporting Citrix 7.1

To secure this role you will have excellent communication skills with a real passion for technology and a friendly disposition. The ideal candidate will be keen to build on their IT knowledge and develop their 3rd line skills.

The business work with cutting edge technologies and although it would be considered highly advantageous to have experience in all of the following, they would consider a candidate who has exposure and a willingness to learn.

-Microsoft Office 2010-2016
-Windows Servers 2008 - 2016
-Active Directory
-Exchange 2016 Server

The starting salary for this role is up to £28,000, depending on skills and experience and offers additional benefits including life assurance, season ticket loan, pension, cycle to work scheme, childcare vouchers and 23 days holiday per annum with the option to buy additional days. Contracted working hours are Monday through Friday 0900 to 1700 with an hours lunch, making the working week 35 hours. They also offer a great calendar of paid company events throughout the year.
