Job Description

A well established and successful business within the healthcare industry, is seeking an experienced IT Manager to join their team based in Guildford. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to develop and execute IT strategy supporting around 60 users with the support of an IT Assistant, to steer the business. This is both a highly strategic and operational role and would suit an individual with a hands on approach as well as comprehensive man management experience.

Key responsibilities of this IT Manager role include:

- Delivering IT strategy, policy and best practice procedures, ensuring effective implementation across the business

- Championing the use of IT equipment and the incorporation of new technologies

-Ensuring consistent compliance and maintain records

- Having overall responsibility for procurement of all new IT equipment, hardware and software, including maintaining software licensing

- Developing the IT budget and ensuring all projects operate on target to ensure value for money

- Project managing all new IT projects and implementations, as well as managing software and hardware updates; maintaining the WAN, LAN and remote connectivity; and managing the server and software and backups to ensure optimal functionality

- Managing IT security to minimise risks across the business, including maintaining firewalls, antivirus, access controls, etc

- Managing the IT assistant ensuring there are adequate resources available, and conduct any appraisals or supervision as required

To be considered for this role, the successful candidate will be an adept IT Manager who comes from a health care organisation and has experience working with and supporting a patient management system and developing, configuring, implementing, maintaining and upgrading the application's modules.

Additionally, you should be a highly confident with the following technologies:

-Windows 7/8/10
- Windows Server 2008 R2/2016/2016 and TCP/IP Networks
-Telephony infrastructure
