IT Engineer (30% field support) - Hillingdon, South West London - up to £30,000

An established IT Support business with a portfolio of clients in the West London and surrounding areas are seeking a IT Support Engineer to join their tight-knit team, providing IT support across their client base. (30% field / 70% office).

The role would suit a practical individual who is confident client facing, working a busy and varied role, taking responsibility for their work, thinking on their feet and who shows a willingness to go above and beyond for their clients.

The clients require high network availability and a large focus of this role will be supporting the customer with this, troubleshooting network connectivity issues, helping increase internet speeds, identifying virus' that may be affecting performance, managing back ups (remote and onsite).

The role needs someone who is able to ensure physical installation of cables and networking equipment, rebuilding PC's, reimaging and installing drives, as well as providing user support across their bespoke CMS software, VoIP, Apps and Mobile Devices, providing quotes for services or equipment, installing telephony equipment etc. Day to day the role will be very varied, consisting of a changing workload and could involve working across a few different clients, whether that be remotely or on site with them. For client site visits, you will be given access to the company car however, it is essential that you have a full driving license at the point of applying.

Day to day responsibilities;

-Supporting a Windows 7 environment
- Diagnosing software and hardware faults.
-Configuring of DrayTek routers.
- Installing and testing hardware and software.
-Building and upgrading PC's .
-Maintaining and troubleshooting the Avaya VoIP systems.
-Installing and maintaining antivirus and malware software.
In addition, an interesting part of the role is that you will have the opportunity to work alongside the management team in the business, assisting with meeting clients to quote for potential services or solutions.

Experience with DrayTek routers, Cisco Routers or switches or Avaya VoIP would be considered highly advantageous.

The working hours for this position are Monday to Friday 09:00 - 17:00 however, due to the nature the business this role will occasionally require on call support which will be rotated across the team (approx. 1 week in 3).
