Job Description

A large multisite organisation, within the utility sector is looking for a generalist HR Business Partner to cover the South East regions (inc. Surrey, Kent, Oxfordshire). The purpose of the role is to provide complete HR Support to the utility focussed business division, covering employee relations, rewards, employee engagement and talent management.

To be considered for this role, you MUST have solid commercial experience within a fast-paced, ever changing multi-site environment and possess generalist HR experience ideally in either utilities, construction, manufacturing or a similar operational environment.

Excellent communication & relationship management skills are required for this position, both written and verbal. Furthermore, you will be used to working in a fast paced environment with the ability to multi-task. You must be comfortable with regular travel and managing your own diary.

Your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

- Employee Relations; you will provide support and deliver advice and guidance on performance management, absence management, discipline and grievance, whilst be a representative for the HR department at employee forums

- Employee Engagement; you must be able to demonstrate leadership in the effectiveness of appraisals, feedback and objective setting, whilst develop / monitor engagement metrics, recommending activities or intervention where appropriate

- Providing advice to managers on policies & procedures

- Providing advice on cost reduction (Sickness, absence management, overtime payments)

-Ad hoc project work
