Job Description

A well-established business is looking for a capable and hard-working 1st line support engineer to join its busy IT team on an initial 8 week contract. This is an urgent requirement and you need to be available immediately.

Working closely with the Service Desk Supervisor, you will hold the responsibility of acting as a first point of contact for any incoming queries into the IT department and will provide a full 1st line service to all 1500+ users. Some of your typical duties will include: Logging all incoming calls on the ticketing system and allocating accordingly, configuring and repairing laptops/PC's, visiting branches to install equipment and resolving any 1st line support queries, such as password resets.

In order to be suitable for this role, it is expected that you will have experience working in a similar environment, providing a proactive support service to a large user base within a Windows environment. You must have experience of supporting Windows 7/10 and Active Directory, while any experience with VMware would be advantageous to your application. As you will be liaising with numerous people company wide, including executives, it is expected that you will be an impeccable communicator.
