Job Description

A successful business with an ambitious growth plan are now looking for a commercially driven HR professional to head up their HR department, leading the implementation of strategic HR initiatives as well as, the day to day operations of the department.

This role reports to the CEO and is a key attendee at monthly board meetings, offering the individual the opportunity to influence at Senior and Executive stakeholder level across the business.

On the operational front, you'll ensure an effective HR plan is delivered in line with the business objectives and you will regularly report on the effectiveness of HR strategies, ensuring they correlate with the company's needs.

Along with a Recruitment Specialist on your team, you'll design an effective recruitment and succession planning process, building a talent pipeline and keeping it up to date with current employment trends, to ensure adequate resource across the business.

Employee relations will also feature in this role with you being a primary contact for grievances, disciplinaries and being a key person to facilitate the annual appraisals. As well as performance reviews, salary reviews, employee surveys and engagement forums which help to ensure the business stays an employer of choice.

You will also work closely with the line managers to coach and provide legislative support and ensure training & development needs are met. Also, working with senior management to implement fast track schemes for high performers within the business.

The person to secure this role will be commercially driven and adept at interpreting business requirements, partnering the business on various initiatives and helping them through their next stage of growth. You should have previously managed a HR team and have demonstrable experience in a senior HR role within a growing business that has gone through a period of exponential growth.

In addition, experience with financial and budgetary management is also essential as is the ability to interpret this information and report accordingly.

This is a superb business to work for and attracts the basic salary of up to £70,000 per annum (depending on experience) plus share options and additional benefits. It would also be the intention for this person to progress and move into a CHRO role relatively quickly.
