Financial Controller - Stevenage, Hertfordshire - £55,000 plus an excellent benefits package.

An internationally renowned business, specialising in medical devices are now seeking a dynamic and commercially minded Financial Controller, to lead the UK Finance team.

You will play an integral role in the business, working closely with the EMEA Financial Controller and being very much part of a core team, with the ability to make a difference in the organisation. The role is varied and alongside the day to day financial responsibilities, you will be utilising your experience to overall improve the efficiency of the Finance department.

As the Financial Controller, you will be responsible for; US GAAP adjustments, reconciliations of balance sheet accounts, monthly accruals, quarterly tax packs, reporting requests, preparation of statutory accounts under local GAAP and preparing the reconciliation between US GAAP accounts and local statutory accounts and leading the year end scheduling.

This role is very much a blend of strategy and operational finance support, so it requires the individual to be pragmatic and happy to work in a hands-on capacity.

To be considered for this role you must;

Be ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified and have held a similar Financial Controller role, ideally from both practice and industry
Have a strong understanding of UK GAAP
Excellent knowledge of local tax compliance requirements
Adept at using Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables & Formulas), Access and SAP
Be a confident all round finance professional, demonstrating strong commercial acumen and relationship building skills
