Job Description

Desktop support engineer - £35,000 - Westminster, London

A new and exciting opening has become available within the IT team of a leading financial body. The team are looking for a Desktop Support Engineer to provide 1st and 2nd line support for their operating systems and software on all devices, on-site and remotely. The company need a driven and hands on individual to be able to resolve complex incidents whilst coordinating with other resolving teams. It will be imperative that you are able to build and maintain customer relationships and ensure adherence to policies and procedures.

Responsibilities:

- Investigation of issues leading to their resolution.
- Working with customers and other vendors where necessary.
- Analysis of incident trends to provide effective support.
- Liaising with third party software/ hardware suppliers.
- Ensuring accurate and detailed recording within incident handling system.

Key skills:

- It is important that you hold an MSCE qualification.
- At least 3 years' experience within a 1st and 2nd line capacity.
- Working knowledge of Windows 10.
- Solid Active Directory exposure.
- Microsoft Office knowledge.
- Effective problem resolution skills.
