A government organisation based in the Swansea area, South Wales is looking for a CA Gen / Database Developer undertake development work (high standard of code) on the business critical management system across various projects to deliver mandatory legislative changes.

This will be a contract role for 9 months with the option to extend for a further 9 months, is paying up to £575 per day and will require candidates to start no later than Monday 21st January, however looking for applications to be processed immediately - deadline for applications: Wednesday 5th December.

In order to be suitable for this role you must proven experience in a CA Gen / Database Developer role as well as the following essential criteria:
*Minimum BPSS cleared
*Development experience in CA GEN in a UNIX environment.
*Using SQL with an Oracle (or equivalent) database.
*Using PL/SQL with Oracle databases.
*UNIX Shell scripting
*Batch scheduling in a UNIX environment
*Definition and execution of formal unit tests.

Any experience of GEN development, specifically on an AIX (IBM) platform, will be considered highly beneficial, but are not essential.
