A driven, positive business development manager, with proven successes in the security or related sectors, is sought by a global security business looking to build on their UK BD team.

You will be working closely with the Strategic Business Development Manager and General Manager EMEA on both long and short term planning, developing major accounts, as well as channel and distributor plans.

This is a strategic role and has a commercial focus. You will be implementing business development plans for all products and services for your region and manage expenditure against the budget, with the authority to commit to high value contracts and recommend strategic business alliances.

The route to market is mainly through Channel Partners and the successful candidate should be able to demonstrate experience in building relationships with big suppliers and players in the field.

You should also be confident discussing short and long term plans and scoping requirements with distributors , major clients and channel partners and offering training and additional support where needed.

In addition, the successful candidate should show a genuine interest market research and competitor analysis, identifying trends and system developments and should have a proactive approach to networking with Security Consultants and other industry experts to ensure up to date knowledge.

Although there will be some existing accounts to manage, the role is predominantly new business development. The business is quite vertically focused, so there will be some structure in place to guide you with this.

Ideally you will come from a technical business development background and you must have experience gained within the security sector or related industries.

The salary for this role attracts a basic salary of circa £40,000 plus additional commission and benefits.
