Job Description

An opportunity has arisen for a successful Sales Manager to join a highly successful FTSE listed organisation. The company has a well-established client base and is looking for an individual to help them drive a division forward and develop its sales team.

This role is based in Leicester for up to two days per week with your remaining time spent visiting clients across the country. You will be responsible for developing a small but already established sales team.

The role will require you to have demonstrable experience as a business development manager.

Experience of working within an inspection or certification industry or of product compliance verification will be an advantage. Other sectors will be considered if you have experience selling the professional services of a blue chip company.

You will have proven and demonstrable sales experience, driving results, profit and ROI at local/regional/national levels as well as demonstrable leadership experience through coaching, developing and driving profit linked growth. You'll be accountable for defining a coherent growth strategy and related execution plan to include KPI and other performance measures.

Additionally you will be involved in working with the senior executive team on sales planning, forecasting and marketing development strategy.

You will need to maintain existing relations with assigned clients, managing, developing and growing sales. You will identify opportunities to develop new business and participate in bid invitations alongside divisional Directors.

This role will require significant amounts of travel around the UK and the client is happy to be flexible on location, provided you can commute to the Leicester offices 2 days per week.
