Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a commercially minded Business Analyst to join a large and still continuously growing financial services firm based in the City of London for a fixed 6 month period.

This position will pay a daily rate of up to £500.

Role & Responsibility

* Working to identify and clarify requirements using basic conceptual and logical process modelling tools and techniques.
*Driving comprehensive documentation for business requirements via impact assessments and BRDs including process flow diagrams etc.
* Determining required fit for purpose business solutions and create business requirement documents and, where necessary, impact assessments.
* Assisting the Project Manager in gathering metrics for project goals, completing cost benefit analysis, defining realistic schedules and planning.
* Analysing stakeholder needs, identify gaps, and define capabilities for a strategic solution to the business.
* Leading process re-engineering workshops to identify and document current and target state processes in line with the project plan.
* Creating application test cases and validate against expected results
* Driving proposed solutions from design through the project lifecycle phases (build, test, defect resolution, implementation and into live).

Qualifications & Skills

* Bachelor's degree or similar level
* 5 years of technical change experience either as a Business Analyst, System Development Leader or Business Architect involving analysis on medium/large scale projects.
* Exposure across the entire project life cycle, business transformation and change management methodologies
* Experience with projects involving multi-jurisdictional influence desirable
* Strong analytical, problem solving and decision making skills
* Basic knowledge of business process modelling methodologies (i.e. lean, Six Sigma)
* Strong user of MS Office (e.g., Outlook, Visio, Word, PowerPoint, Project & Excel)
* Experience with Investran, NetSuite, eQ and SQL desirable but not essential
* Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
* Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with key stakeholders across the business
* Ability to work independently or with minimal supervision
