Job Description

A market leading, global trading company based in Bank are looking for an experienced Application Support professional with trading or other financial application support experience to join their IT Production and Service Management team. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a large technical environment (circa 500 employees within IT) and a business with real, long term career development opportunities.

Please note - this is a new role and would suit an experience Application Support Engineer that is keen to step into a Team Lead/Management role.

As the Application Support Team Lead for this international financial services business you will provide technical leadership and prioritise the application support teams work load. You will work with relevant development and application support teams to ensure root cause analysis is completed and workarounds are documented. You will work with incident management teams to ensure the delivery of clear communication and will deliver appropriate reporting metrics to measure the team's performance.

This role sits within the IT Services Management team who are responsible for managing incidents and change requests within the business. Your team will respond to issues promptly; assessing business impact and technical complexity, troubleshooting and resolving where possible. The ideal candidate will be happy to be technically hands on as 70% of this role will involve providing hands on support.

To be suitable you will have the following experience:

Essential:

Trading or financial application support experience
Troubleshooting, coordinating and organisational skills
Experienced at providing documentation for processes
Basic knowledge of SQL

Although not essential, the following experience would be desirable:

Knowledge of FIX messaging
ITIL

The salary on offer for this Application Support Team Lead role is up to £55,000 plus bonus and benefits.
