A well-known national organisation is seeking an Application Support Manager to manage the Application Support Team and work closely with suppliers to ensure the effective delivery and management of business systems and information.

Responsibilities include (but not limited to):

* Establishing a schedule of work for applications
* Managing a high quality service to our customers. Monitors and manages performance of applications support activity. Takes full responsibility for their effectiveness.
* Driving efficiencies and service improvements in process and applications, where possible using automation or workflows
* Developing system enhancements to overcome known problems or further fulfil user requirements
* Managing supplier relationships

To be suitable for this role you must have experience of:

* Creating & maintaining technical and procedural documentation
* Effective risk management (as well as a clear understanding of the process in escalating issues/risks/concerns)
* Excellent understanding of the change management process (testing, scheduling & ability to clearly articulate findings)
* Experience in providing services to agreed SLA's
* The ITIL v3 foundation qualification is highly desirable

Ideally you'll have some management experience in a hands-on application support lead/manager role. Excellent knowledge and understanding of managing enterprise level applications and providing 2nd line technical support to customers would also be a distinct advantage.
