Technology Lead
A leading Law Firm in UK and Europe is seeking a Technology Lead to manage the technical Infrastructure and Applications teams delivering operational activities, change and support the Head of Technology (HOT) deliver the IT objectives.
This role is paying circa £85,000 and is hybrid (2 days work from home and 3 days in the central London office near Farringdon station). The firm offer very good benefits including private healthcare and pension.
Responsibilities:
- To lead and develop a high-performing technical team of 7 across Infrastructure and Applications, focusing on training and development through regular reviews and consistently looking to improve team performance continually.
- Providing technical support and guidance to the team and unblocks issues to improve processes, systems, and code quality.
- Proven people management and stakeholder management skills
- Project management of new system implementations and assisting other teams in project-related activity when needed.
- Ensure compliance with quality and industry standards for IT and information and cyber security.
- Manage technical debt and architecture by keeping current and moving ahead with new trends
- Lead process of issue identification and resolution.
- Evaluate risk, develop network recovery and backup processes and own the IT risk register for the respective team.
- Provide regular reporting on key progress and issues from the team.
- Support the Head of Technology in delivering its strategy and operational needs and act as deputy in the absence of HOT.
- Ensuring alignment within IT by working with the Head of Technology, IT Service Delivery Lead, IT Trainer and Communications Lead.
- Foster partnerships with fee earners, Firm management and business support staff to support the delivery of solutions.
To be suitable for this role you will be/have:
- At least 3 years' experience in a relevant/managerial Technology/IT role, ideally in a Law firm or professional services firm
- Efficient and well organised
- Excellent troubleshooting skills.
- Able to plan workload and activities to meet deadlines in a timely fashion
- Able to work autonomously and use initiative
- Responsible and dependable
