Purchase Ledger Clerk

A well-established and growing business in the Esher area is looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Assistant / Purchase Ledger Clerk to join their small, collaborative Accounts team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to play a key role in the rollout of a new purchase ledger system and process, contributing directly to the company’s financial efficiency.
The successful candidate will handle a variety of tasks, including processing and reconciling purchase ledger invoices, managing subcontractor payments, monitoring delivery notes, and ensuring credit notes are accurately tracked. Additional responsibilities include onboarding subcontractors, verifying settlement statuses, and liaising with internal teams to resolve discrepancies.
This position suits someone with prior experience as a Purchase Ledger Clerk, Accounts Payable Associate, or similar, with strong data entry skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in Excel and accounts systems. Experience in the construction industry, particularly with trade suppliers, is advantageous but not essential.
