Part time Accounts Assistant

Brand new opportunity for an experienced Accounts Assistant to join a leading manufacturing company. Our client is a very successful global organisation known for its innovative products for its premium brand clients. They are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to join their small and friendly team in the UK.

This is a part time role over 20 hours per week and is offered with the flexibility of 3 full days or alternatively 4 or 5 part days. The role will be based at their modern offices in Bracknell where there is on-site parking, located a 20 min walk from Bracknell station.

Reporting to the Finance Manager the ideal candidate will have solid Accounts experience and have a strong understanding of double entry bookkeeping.

You will maintain financial records, manage the sales ledger, including invoicing, account reconciliations and credit control. Oversee the purchase ledger, ensuring timely and accurate processing of supplier invoices and payments, as well as staff expenses. Process month-end journal entries for prepayments, accruals and depreciation, manage VAT returns, Perform bank reconciliations and reconcile supplier statements, as well as providing support to the Finance Manager when needed.

 

The ideal candidate will have.

Proven experience in an accounts assistant/bookkeeping role.

Solid knowledge of double entry bookkeeping

Experience with sales and purchase ledger.

Confident in processing VAT returns.

Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel

Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.

Good communication and interpersonal skills.

 

This role is part time (20 hours per week with full flexibility). The salary on offer is up to £36,000 pro rata with benefits including 10% non-contributory Pension, Private Healthcare and Death-in-Service.
