A highly successful and rapidly growing global business with offices in West London are looking for a Legal Counsel to join their Legal team.  This is a brilliant opportunity to join a business that puts the needs of their employees first; hybrid working is offered with the requirement to come in only one day per week. 

 

The purpose of this Legal Counsel role is to assist the legal team and business as a whole by supplying legal and information security services to all stakeholders of the business.  You will advise the business on legal issues and how they affect the commercial wellbeing of the Company as well as drafting commercial contracts via instruction from the sales team and liaising both with internal stakeholders as well as the Client to achieve an agreeable contract state for all parties involved.

 

In addition you will lead on employment matters and the contractual outcome (e.g. settlement agreements), research adhoc pieces of law and drafting appropriate documents and resolve tax related issues within contractual agreements.  Reviewing insurance contracts and the provisions contained within, along with ensuring that the general business activities stipulated within such contract are FSMA compliant is also a part of this role. 

 

The ideal candidate for this Legal Counsel role will be a qualified UK Solicitor with 2 years PQE.  Experience in drafting and negotiating a variety of legal documents within the commercial, employment and data protection sector would be beneficial. 

Excellent personal skills and the ability to explain legalese in lay terms to non-legal team members is key. 

 

The salary on offer for this role is up to £80,000 plus great benefits.
