Data Architect  / Data Modelling (Insurance)

 

Up to £85,000 plus 20% bonus, 25 days holiday and 10% pension. Remote/Work from home with the expectation you can visit either the London or Birmingham office once a week. 

 

A leading global insurer is looking for a Data Architect to join its team. This role reports into the Head of Enterprise Architecture and will be responsible for the following duties:

- Overall focus on modernising data architecture to transform into a digital business

- Influencing stakeholders to meet goals

- Defining current data state, owning and improving data model

- Documenting data lineage across business processes, identifying both value opportunities and where data quality issues arise

- Proposing target state for business data architecture in order to enable strategic outcomes and transformation

- Strengthening and implementing data standards

 

 

To be considered suitable for this Data Architect role you will need to have the following skills and experience:

- Data modelling, data lineage, data ownership and stewardship

- Driving data quality

- Use of data dictionaries and glossaries to enable common data conversations and standards

- Design and implementation experience of data standards

- Strong experience with RDBMS architectures

- Ability to provide solutions to complex data problems 

- Graph and Event streaming architecture experience would be an advantage but this can be developed within the role

- Strong data modelling capability
