A highly successful multinational manufacturer based just outside of Manchester is seeking a personable, enthusiastic IT Support Engineer to join their growing team on a permanent basis! This role requires you to be onsite and is in a remote area, so you will need to be able to drive and have access to a car.  This is an organisation that really pride themselves on supporting and engaging their team so additional training will be provided as you gain exposure to new technologies. 

As the IT Support Engineer, you will be tasked with working on a wide range of exciting projects as well as providing BAU IT and desktop support to approximately 80 end users. You will be instrumental in carrying out updates and implementing new technologies as well as supporting users day to day, troubleshooting and resolving all IT issues.   

The ideal candidate will have previously supported a Windows environment and will have perhaps worked as an IT Support Engineer, Desktop Support Engineer, Infrastructure Analyst, or in another similar position.  You will be passionate about IT and technology, with a real enthusiasm for providing great customer service.  You will be instrumental in the support, maintenance, and configuration of Windows Servers, and you will also be tasked with assisting with virtualisation support as well as the maintenance and upkeep of databases as well.

To be considered for this IT Support role you will have gained exposure to the following:

Windows operating systems including Office 365 and Exchange

Windows Server 2012 upwards

Database experience – SQL/Oracle, etc.,

VMWare virtualisation

Active Directory, DNS, DHCP.,

VOIP, Printer maintenance, etc.,

Some prior experience leading, managing or mentoring colleagues (doesn't have to be in an I.T. related role)

Over the next few months this organisation will also be implementing Microsoft Dynamics so this is a real opportunity for you to enhance and expand your skills as full training will be provided.
