Accounts Payable Manager

A global manufacturing company is seeking an Accounts Payable Senior/Accounts Payable Manager to oversee all the accounts payable activities for the business, dealing with queries effectively and improving the process to achieve timely booking and payments of invoices.

The role is paying a maximum of £45,000 plus good benefits – the role is hybrid, central London based 2 days a week otherwise it’s work from home. Please note that experience with Netsuite is essential.



  • Record and post supplier invoices or credit notes daily to the ledger, ensuring the correct coding has been applied (around 500 monthly invoices).
  • Ensure Purchase Orders are raised, approved and shipment documents received.
  • Monitor the payable mailbox regularly to ensure all appropriate emails are being attended in a timely manner.
  • Resolve supplier payment queries within the agreed timeframes.
  • Review creditors monthly and resolve outstanding issues and debit balances on creditor accounts in a timely manner.
  • Prepare regular supplier payment runs and any ad-hoc payments for approval.
  • Prepare weekly payment forecast and highlight any cash requirements.
  • Process company credit cards and staff expenses, ensuring all receipts are received and booked.
  • Maintain up to date supplier records in NetSuite and raise any system issues to be resolved.
  • Regular supplier accounts reconciliation for top vendors.
  • Produce monthly aged reporting, other creditor analysis (e.g. outstanding POs), and month-end accruals.
  • Supervising & supporting team members to complete relevant AP tasks to deadlines.
  • Working closely with the Europe Controller to implement and improve the finance process.



  • Strong experience in a relevant finance (ideally accounts payable/purchase ledger) role, especially working in a multinational business environment.
  • Used to dealing with large volume and multi-currency transactions.
  • Experience working with NetSuite and good excel knowledge.
  • Willingness to support other team members (management experience desirable)
  • Fluent in written and spoken English.
  • Strong organisational skills, resourceful and able to prioritise work.
  • Excellent communication and attention to detail.
  • Flexible, teamwork attitude with the ability to understand business objectives.
