Rhianna sues former accountants for lossesPop singer Rihanna is suing her former accountants claiming they lost millions of dollars of her earnings.

The Barbadian chart-topper is seeking damages from Berdon LLP and two of its employees, who have since left the New York firm.

She has accused them of poor book-keeping and for failing to provide appropriate financial advice.

Rhianna, 24, claims the firm should have instructed her to cut back on expenses when her 2009 tour was losing money.

The singer, real name Robyn Fenty, claims her former accountancy firm earned large commissions from concert tours while she lost out on millions of dollars in income.

In the lawsuit, filed in a New York court, she said Berdon LLP took 22 per cent of the Last Girl on Earth tour's total revenues.

At the same time, Rhianna received just six per cent of the takings, meaning she made nothing out of this series of concerts.

Meanwhile, she accused Berdon LLP of providing poor advice on a property deal which ended up costing a significant sum of money.

The singer claims that since firing her former accountants, her earnings have increased significantly.

Rhianna hired Berdon LLP to manage her financial affairs in 2005 aged just 16.

Since launching her career she has enjoyed global chart success, with hits such as Umbrella, Only Girl (In the World), Don't Stop the Music and Disturbia earning a legion of fans.
